Cherry Blossoms and Magnolia
They are everywhere! Come to Washington D.C, the Capital of the United States to see it for yourself.
This past weekend, I went to see the cherry blossoms. As you know, they only bloom once a year during the end of March and early April. And then…they fall off their branches and you will have to wait until next year. Typically, if there is strong wind or if it’s raining then you won’t get to see them. Along with these beautiful flowers, DC has many other activities going on. For example, the kite festival, you can go to a cherry blossom bar and also go see traditional Japanese performances.
I am a big fan of cherry blossoms because of Japanese influence. When I was traveling to Japan, seeing cherry blossoms wasn’t just a tree with pink flowers, but it was a cultural activity. You go with your family and friends and it was an experience. Everyone is smiling and happy.
You can have a picnic at the park, practice your photography skills and also enjoy the beauty of the flowers.
This year, along with cherry blossoms, the Magnolia also had bloomed. It was just beautiful!
I took some photos!
If you don’t have cherry blossoms in your city, I recommend you see them at least once in your life. They are very unique!
