This one is a bit serious. I decided to dedicate this blog post to those who are currently going through some things in life at the moment. Everyone is going through something, whether that is big or small. Some keep it hidden inside, some tell it to the world. For me, it always is better when I talk to my besties.
I wanted to say, I am not an expert, nor am qualify. But one thing that has helped me in a similar situation is a quote by Buddha.
He says, “If you suffer, it is because of you. If you fell blissful, it is because of you. Nobody else is responsible, only you and you alone. You are your hell and your heaven too.”
This quote helped me overcome most of my emotional hurdles. Often when I feel like I cannot see the end of this terrible situation I am in, or the end of the dark tunnel, I think about how I am doing it to myself. My human self tells me that I should blame other. “Because of you, I am angry.” “Because of you, I am sad and heartbroken.”
And the realization that it is not because of others but you,. This can really help put things into perspective. For example, if I am feeling down, I might think, hmm how can I feel at peace at this moment? What should I do? I then, walk outside and listen to dubstep music. I come back home and begin to feel better. My perspective changed because one moment I was angry but I realized that I have the power to change how I feel. And only I can do that.
