I really like this quote. “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” Often, we may feel that our past define us, or our given family background will decide how we will live. Or no matter how hard we try to get out of a situation but it doesn’t get any better, and we just feel stuck and hopeless.
Have you wished you can go back in time and change something that you did or said? Have you thought about not making the choices you made to get to today?
We all make mistakes and we learn and grow. But what is important is that we don’t think about how today we can make a little difference and how all the little impact can add up. We spend too much time regretting and reflecting that there is not enough time to be active about our future.
Yesterday we did not see our new ending, and even today we still cannot see it, but more tomorrow and we will see it! Starting with a new habit like, actively working out, take a walk with co-workers, or trying out something new can be a great start to creating small changes. Habits are good to help change lifestyles and keep being healthy. Drinking more water or taking care of yourself is important to make a new ending as well. If your goal is to have personal growth, decide what that means, and take actions. If your new ending is to be more professionally prepare for the workforce, practice public speaking, network and talk to professionals in the similar field or do more research. Little steps like these can be helpful in deciding where you want to go next and how much further is your goal.
Here are some questions to think about.
- Figuring out what is your past, your story? What is your problem? Why do you want a new beginning? How do you see yourself?
- What are you doing to help move forward? Are there going to be new ways to do things? Is there going to be a plan? Do you think you got this?
- And finally, what are your actions? What can you do better? What should you be thinking about? How do you want your new beginning? Are you getting there?
Anyone can start today and make a new ending. #behopeful #makingsomechanges
